I began to write this blog in 2014 as a way to process things that were happening in my life at the time. I’d just quit an abusive job, my nest was emptying itself of young adults and I found myself feeling useless and lost. My first title was,
What’s a Mom to Do?
Eventually that title didn’t cover everything
In 2017 we felt a call to leave the quiet, pastoral suburbs for the hectic noisy pace of city life. We fell in love with a big city church, one that held every culture, color and language. When most of our peers are looking to quiet their lives, we noisied ours up. We made our lives inconvenient at a time when convience is most desired.
It brings us tremendous joy and we found ourselves telling people,
“We can’t imagine our lives without this chapter”
And we can’t. It has provided our lives with a purpose we didn’t even know we needed. If there is anything I can share from this journey it’s this…
God isn’t through with our generation! There is so much more!
We have purpose, callings to fulfill, wisdom to share, experiences that will benefit the next generation, and a lot of personal growth to experience in the process. We are not irrelevant. I hope that the words in this site will encourage you to also pursue a life of purpose, higher calling and service. It’s a rich life. One that will lead you to unimaginable joy.
